People there believe that praying here gives them the strength to survive in the tough conditions when the Langza altitudes go to minus degrees. Witnessing such spiritual experiences gives you a connection with others' roots and understanding of their cultures

3. Langza Fossil Hunting

From the archaeological point of view, Langza is rich in fossils and known as a treasure. Today, Langza fossil remains have been in the soil and rocks around the village. It has fully prohibited the sale of fossils in the villages by the government. So the locals avoid the selling of these fossils. So it can be reserved for a long time.

4. Camping and skygazing

Due to high altitudes, Langza offers you the clearest sky in India; the sky looks like a giant canvas filled with countless stars, and a clear night allows you to even see the Milky Way with your naked eyes.

Sitting here under the sky with the cameras allows you to capture the moments you will never have anywhere in the whole of India. The view you witness is going to be a lifelong moment.

5. Zama Mud Craft

Zama mud craft is the ancient art of Langza Village. This is a handmade craft used by the local people to craft toys, pots, utensils, and decorative items with the use of a special kind of clay known as “zama”. This art is almost 100 years old. One of the most local livelihood sources.

6. Chau Chau Kang, Nilda Peak

With 6303 metres of height, known as the Nilda peak, offering you the snow-covered mountains, it is one of the most stunning sights in the Spiti Valley. It is the dream destination for trekkers and adventure lovers. Trekking with friends here would be a moment you've never witnessed before.

7. Authentic Cuisine in Langza

A visit to Langza is incomplete without tasting its local foods like Thukpa, momos, and tsampa.

Most of the dishes are made from wheat and fresh vegetables grown in small fields around the village. Because of the cold weather, people are consuming meals which are hot in nature.

Conclusion

A trip to Langza village is like stepping into a new world where time moves slowly, life is simple, and rich in natural beauty. This tiny village is a treasure itself; the marine fossils are found here because millions of years ago, it was a part of the great Tethys Sea.

The charm of Langza does not stop with its fossils. The giant golden Buddha statue peacefully represents the village's beauty, and locals believe it guards the whole village and protects them from evil eyes.

Life here is deeply connected with the Tibetan Buddhist Culture, and the culture and tradition of the village will touch your heart.

Visiting Langza not only adds a new location to your travel list, but the experiences you will feel are soulful and unforgettable.
