About Parimal Park
The complete name of this garden is Pari Trikamlal Bhogilal Municipal Recreation Park. It lies across 10 acres. Surprisingly, many Gujarati films and TV shows have been shot here. This is because the park offers a stunning background. As mentioned before, the Parimal Garden location is in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. You can visit the Parimal Garden in the early morning. Then, you can see many adults and young people exercising.

History of Parimal Garden
The proposal to build this park was given by the first Mayor of Ahmedabad, Chinubhai Chimanlal, famously known as Chinubhai Mayor, in 1950. He was a famous traveller who wanted to create a space where people could interact. He gathered funds for the same from famous businessmen at that time, like Jayantilal Bhikabhai, K. M. Katawala, and M. D. Rajpal.
The Parimal Garden was founded in the year 1960, and the locality was named Ambewadi after many mango trees were planted. The park was earlier maintained by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation until 1995, when it was occupied by the Torrent Group. A new site plan was structured in 1998 and was re-constructed in February 2000.
Later, the repairing of the park began in 2021, led by the UN Mehta (UNM) Foundation, linked with the Torrent Group and with assistance from AMC. The garden was opened to the general public on 9th August 2022 and launched by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendrabhai Patel.
Parimal Garden Timings
The Parimal Garden timings are from 11:00 am to 07:00 pm. It’s closed on Sundays.
The best time to visit Parimal Park is in the early morning or evening, when the sun is not that ruthless.
Many workshops and competitions are happening here constantly, which makes mornings and evenings the perfect times.
Architecture Of Parimal Garden Ahmedabad
As said before, the Parimal Garden distance is 10 acres. It has a yoga and meditation centre and a natural corner. There is a two-floor gymnasium with one storey reserved for men and the other for women. It also has a children’s park.
Theatre artists can perform in the huge amphitheatre with an accommodation capacity of 250 people at a time. A bridge joins both sides of the pond. It has a hideaway with beautiful Bougainvillaea decorated on it.

2. Vastarapur Lake
This water body is at a distance of 3.3 km from the Parimal Garden. Established in 2002 by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), the Vastarapur Lake was later called ‘Bhakt Kavi Narsinh Mehta Sarovar’. The park was named after a great poet, Kavi Narsinh Mehta, born in the 15th century in Gujarat.
3. Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition Centre
It is a space research centre, located around 4.4 km from the park. This kids-friendly exhibition centre was named after the great astronomer and scientist, Vikram Sarabhai. The centre is popular for its 3D television and GSLV animation.
4. Sidi Saiyyed Mosque
It is one of the most popular mosques in Gujarat. Located around 3.1 km from the Parimal Garden, this masjid is famous for its ‘Tree of Life Jali’. Historians believe that it is due to the existence of the mosque that could not be finished according to the earlier plan because the Mughals invaded Gujarat, and the method had to be abandoned midway.
