How to Reach Reckong Peo

Reckong is well connected by road. The nearest big town is Shimla, and it is about 230 km away. Reckong Peo to Kaza distance is 250–260 km by road, and it takes about 8-10 hours depending on road conditions.

  • By Road: You can take a bus or taxi from Shimla, Rampur, or Sangla. The NH5 highway offers a scenic drive through mountains and apple orchards

  • By Train: The nearest railway station is Shimla Railway Station, around 230 km from Reckong

Chandika Devi Temple is about 3 km from Reckong in the village of Kothi. It is a wooden temple with green forests around it, with views of mountain peaks.
