By Air 

The nearest airport to Khecheopalri Lake is located in (R)(K)B, around ~160 km away. Once at the airport, you will use a taxi/shared cab from the airport to Pelling and continue to the lake (about ~24 km from Pelling).

By Train

The nearest railway station to Khecheopalri Lake is New Jalpaiguri, which is around ~150 km from the lake. You can hire a taxi/shared jeep to reach Pelling from NJP or go straight to Khecheopalri Lake via Geyzing. 

By Road

Khecheopalri Lake is well connected by road!

  • From Gangtok: 147 km (6-7 hours) travelling via Ravangla and Legship

  • From Pelling: 24 km, which is approximately 1 hour in duration.

  • From Darjeeling: 120 km (5-6 hours) via Jorethang.
