About the trip

Kedarnath Mandir (Kedarnath Temple) is a Hindu temple (shrine) dedicated to Lord Shiva (Mahadeva). Located on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river, Kedarnath is located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open to the general public only between the months of April (Akshaya Tritiya) and November (Kartik Purnima, the autumn full moon). During the winters, the vigraha (deity) from Kedarnath temple is carried down to Ukhimath and where the deity is worshiped for the next six month

Day 1: Delhi to Sonprayag

We depart from Delhi around 08:30 PM in an AC Vehicle. (Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it.)

Day 2: Reach Sonprayag

Reach Sonprayag, check in hotel
Get refreshed and enjoy leisure time
Sonprayag is located bit away from the holy shrine, Kedarnath. The town holds immense religious importance as it houses famous ancient temples near Mandakni river.
Have delicious dinner.
Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3: Sonprayag - Kedarnath

Wake early (like by 4 am), take bath and get refreshed.
Checkout the hotel by max 5 am and head towards Gaurikund (the place from where we will start our trek to Kedarnath Dham).
It will be a trek of approx. 17 kms and will take 8 to 10 hrs. to Reach Kedarnath Dham.
Reach Kedarnath check in to homestay (basic stay), freshen up
Proceed for the darshan.
Dinner and overnight stay at homestay.

Day - 4: Kedarnath Dham & Checkout

Wake up and have Early morning breakfast, Later enjoy the view and depart back to Sonprayag.
Reach Sonprayag and board your vehicle.
Later Depart back to Delhi.
Overnight Journey.
Reach Delhi by next morning.
