Har ki Dun Itinerary

• We depart from Delhi around 6 PM in an AC Vehicle. (Know the true value of time; snatch,seize, and enjoy every moment of it.)

• Overnight journey to Dehradun.

• Start from Dehradun ISBT by 7:0 am. Dehradun to Sankri 200km/8hr drive, expected arrival in Sankri by evening.

• Check into homestay.

• Dinner and overnight stay in Homestay.

• Short Briefing, Instructions and document collections in evening.

• On this day, we start on our drive from Sankri to Taluka in the morning.

• This short drive through gradually thickening forests and streams cutting through the path over boulders will introduce us to the terrain of our trek closely.

• Reach Taluka by evening.

• Check in camps/homestay.

• Dinner and overnight stay.

• Pauni Garaat to Kalkattiyadhar is a distance of 7 km over 6 hours which we start early morning.

• The trail crosses 3 “ garaat ” or hydroelectricity run chaffing units which are used by the villagers for separating husks of millet and maize followed by grounding to flour.

• Reach kalkattiyadhaar , check in to the camps

• Dinner and overnight stay.

• A shorter distance of 5 km is reserved for the summit day, spanning over 3.5 hour of trekking time.

• Moving through a thick forest of conifers chestnut, bhojpatra or papyrus bark, pines, and cedar, the trail is an intense experience of nature.

• Later trek back to your stay at Kalkattiyadhaar

• Dinner and Overnight stay

• From today the trek is actually the return journey.

• Today we shall retrace the steps through the Oslo village to Pauni Garaat .

• Here's another chance to relive the moments with the peaceful villagers.

• Say goodbye to them and the stunning sights around you.

• Follow the same trail as of earlier and reach the campsite of Pauni Garaat .

• Enjoy your last few moments of nightlife in the mountains.

• A 5 hour trek to Taluka sets off this morning, climbing down by the familiar trail, stopping at familiar rest points.

• The car waits at the end of the dirt road to drive back base camp wards.

• Pay special attention to descending tactic.

• Though climbing down accounts for lesser exhaustion, stressing out your soles with big steps is inadvisable.

• Sankri will arrive at the time for tea.

• Dinner and Overnight stay.

• Morning tea and breakfast at guest house.

• Certificate distribution and group photo before departure.

• Drive back to Dehradun from Sankri 200km, 8hr drive, expected arrival time in Dehradun is between 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

• Later depart for Delhi.
