About the Trip

Mcleodganj, residence of His Holiness Dalai Lama the 14th offers in-depth knowledge of Tibetan culture with several exceptionally built monasteries. Apart from that you can experience the local culture and visit local markets and waterfalls.

Triund is a small hill station in the Kangra district in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. Triund is a part of Dharamkot. Triund is at the foot of the Dhauladhars at a height of 2,828 m. It is the basecamp for the Lake Glacier and the Indrahar Pass trek.

The trek is a small, beginners level but offers exceptional views of the mountains and offers a pleasant lush green trail. Some of the peaks visible from the top are; Mon Peak, Gauri Junda, Talang Jot, Kundali Pass, Toran Peak, Cairn Peak, Camel Peak etc.

Day 0 : DELHI TO MCLEODGANJ | OVERNIGHT JOURNEY

We depart from Delhi around 6 PM in an AC Vehicle. (Know the true value of time snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it.)
Pit stop for dinner at any decent roadside restaurant.

Day 1 : ARRIVAL IN MCLEODGANJ | LOCAL SIGHTSEEING | OVERNIGHT STAY AT MCLEODGANJ

Upon reaching McLeod Ganj, we’ll check into our hotel rooms and spend some leisure time.
Afterward, we will head out for a local sightseeing tour where we would be visiting the Namgyal Monastery, Bhagsunag waterfall, and the local Tibetan Market. We will also go for cafe hopping to hog on some Tibetan delicacies.
Dinner was followed by an overnight stay in McLeod Ganj.

DAY 2 : TREK TO TRIUND | OVERNIGHT STAY AT TRIUND CAMPS

After early morning breakfast, we’ll head out for a trek towards Triund hill which is situated at the foothills of the Dhauladhar ranges and is known as the crown jewel of Dharamshala.
At an elevation of 9432 ft, the Triund Top offers stunning views of the entire Kangra Valley. The trail is adorned with pine trees and stretches up to an expanse of lush green grassland. We will be spending the night under the blanket of stars overlooking the mighty Dhauladhars.
Dinner and overnight stay in camps.

DAY 3 : TREK DOWN TO MCLEODGANJ | DEPARTURE TO DELHI

After early morning breakfast, we will check out from our campsite and descend down to Mcleodganj.
Upon reaching Mcleodganj, we’ll explore nearby cafes.
In the evening, we’ll board an overnight bus for our return journey to Delhi

DAY 4 : REACH BACK TO DELHI BY MORNING

Reach Delhi in the morning.
